The 2014 Las Vegas Earthquake was of the strongest ever recorded in the city, it shattered windows, liquified the ground from the violent shaking, and bulidings sunk from liquifaction of the ground, in all 100 people died from it. After the earthquake, Buildings got retrofitted to withstand earthquakes up to magnitude 8.2.
